Back in early 2019, a young couple, Jamie & Donna Hallahan were looking at starting their new home build journey contacted Pipelife to enquire about our home heating solutions and the service that we provide.

For the Hallahan’s choosing the heating system for their home seemed quite daunting, in that like most people, they did not have an in-depth knowledge of modern heating solutions. At Pipelife we strive to talk to our customers in language that they understand and give them the comfort of knowing that we will take full responsibility for providing them with a design that fully meets their requirements and expectations.

To begin, Jamie and Donna had an initial meeting with our Technical Engineering Team who went through in detail all aspects of our Home Heating Solutions and the recommended system that we felt would work best for them. In this case a solution using an Air to Water Heat Pump coupled with Underfloor Heating. As part of this initial meeting they were also delighted to get a guided tour of our factory where they got to see first-hand the manufacturing process of our leading Qual-Pex Plus+ Easy-Lay Pipe. Knowing that the heart of their heating system, the underfloor heating pipe, was manufactured on-site here in Ireland was very reassuring for Jamie & Donna and was one of the main reasons why they decided to entrust us with their heating solution.

To begin a full design specification, both mechanical and electrical is produced by our Technical team detailing the design criteria and guidelines from the initial process of laying of the underfloor heating pipe, through to the second stage of connecting these pipes to the plumbing system, commissioning of the system and heating controls layout. Each design is always project specific and is tailored to suit your requirements. For your added confidence and peace of mind we carry full design indemnity insurance that makes us responsible if the installed system fails to meet the designed outputs.

During the installation of both the Underfloor and Heat Pump the Pipelife Team will always be on hand to talk to your installer, electrician or builder and answer any queries they may have. Finally, to give our customers complete peace of mind following the full installation, a Pipelife Engineer will commission your new heating system. This will ensure that the unit is installed correctly and is set up to run optimally for your needs. The homeowner will also be given a demonstration on how the system operates and how to run it thus giving the homeowner peace of mind in the complete installation.
