1989
Foundation of Pipelife as a Joint Venture of Solvay (Belgium) and Wienerberger (Austria) with activities in Austria, France and Germany

1990 - 1993
Expansion of the Pipelife Group through acquisitions and foundations of companies in Hungary, France, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Czech and the Slovak Republic.

1994
Integration of the Solvay pipes and fittings activities in The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.

1995 - 1998
Start of operations in Slovenia, Croatia and Romania. Acquisition of Davinyl, Sweden.

1999
With the acquisition of the Mabo Group, Pipelife achieves a leading position in Northern Europe (Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). Additionally, Wienerberger’s pipe activities in China are integrated in Pipelife.

2000
By acquiring Jet Stream, situated in the state of Arkansas, the company enters the North American market. Also trading activities in the UK and Ukraine are initiated.

2001
Business expansion into Russia by opening a sales office in Moscow.

2003
The acquisition of 100% Pipelife Czech and Pipelife Slovakia took place.

2004
Pipelife expanded by acquiring Propipe in Finland and the PVC business of Drossbach in Germany.

2005
Pipelife took over Pannonpipes and Pipelife Romania by 100%. Business expansion into Bulgaria by opening a Sales Office in Plovdiv.

2006
Pipelife invested in building up a plant in Russia.

2007
By aquiring Quality Plastics, Pipelife enters the Irish and British market.

2008
Pipelife acquires Instaplast Praha a.s. in the Czech Republic.

2009
Investment in Pipelife plant in Bulgaria

2010
Acquisition of Westpipe (SE)
Closure of Pipelife subsidiaries in Spain and Portugal

2011
Acquisition of Alphacan Pipe Business (FR)

2012
Full take-over by Wienerberger
